Stuck Up

On Friday I went away for the weekend to go to a 40th birthday party in some small town in Yorkshire. I was completely bored for the whole duration of the party as I knew no one apart from my family and I was not introduced to any guests because the people that I was staying with were ashamed to be seen with any one that comes from a family where the adults actually work for money instead of a family where the wife takes her husbands credit card shopping whilst he "works" and the children are having a lovely time at boarding school. Altogether the guests were completely stuck up. I tried to escape by hiding upstairs and reading but I couldn't read because all I could hear was really loud FAKE laughter coming from the annoying self-centered vain housewives. Another thing I found extremely irritating was being surrounded by people that had an accent halfway between the accents in Emmerdale and Coronation Street, I would literally kill myself if I sounded like that although everyone informs me I shouldn't complain about accents when I sound like a farmer. At the end when everyone had gone the hosts went back to being "normal" e.g sat around the house in scruffy clothes. This really annoyed me because why should a being around snobs change a person so much, you should just be yourself instead of turning into one to.
